What to wear?

I think the first question that comes up when I get a Boudoir booking is: What should I wear? And really it is not that complicated. Basically, I will ask you to bring a minimum of 3 outfits, but wait, don’t run to the store yet! let me give you some ideas first. Remember, boudoir is not necessarily nudes or exposing your body, it is more about the attitude, it is something we will be working little by little during the session.

First of all, a boudoir session is a little intimidating by itself, so please bring outfits that make you feel sexy but also that helps you to enhance your beauty. Buy outfits that enhance your assets and hide your problem areas.

Bustiers are a great way to create curves and enhance cleavage. Buy your outfits with boob support. A baby doll nightie, vintage slip, teddy and/or camisole always photograph well.  Corsets with those gorgeous thigh high stockings and heels are super sexy too. Start simple and grow more extreme from there. Think about what colors look good on you.

If are very happy with your silhouette and decide to bring Bras and panties to your session there is a great variety on the market! You can start with basic black and then add colors and patterns. Bras and panties can be photographed alone or paired with any of the other clothing items or accessories you bring. They are also helpful when setting up implied nude poses. If Bras and Panties are not your main attire, I would suggest bringing at least one pantie for some poses.

Everyday clothing such as sheer tops, jeans, shorts, and pajamas can look cute and sexy if photographed properly.  A simple white tank top or cami is a must-have for your session! An evening gown will add some class. If this is a gift for your fiance/husband/boyfriend, then bring something from his wardrobe, like that white long-sleeve shirt, one of his favorite ties, a sports jersey, recreational gear, or his uniform. Anything that makes the images more personal and sexy to him! It also adds variety to your collection of outfits and will look great in the final book.

*Look through your closet for a see-through or lace blouse, a soft sweater you can pull off your shoulders, a vest or sleeveless sweater, a tank top. Any unique or cropped tops can be cute with panties too, even a pair of pretty socks look very cute combined with the correct top, think of of the box!

If you are booking this session as a gift for your fiance, you can bring some accessories you will be using on your wedding day. A great idea is to bring your veil, shoes and white lingerie.

You can easily modify the look of your outfit by changing your accessories. Accessories include jewelry, scarves, hats, stilettos, boots, gloves, fishnets, stockings, garter belts, etc. We will have some shots with shoes and others with your bare feet, bring a couple of high heels that match your outfits; try to stay away from platform and wedges for your shoot. And also prepare your feet with a pretty pedicure, and manicure too.

Now, let’s have some fun!
